Pacific Vision International donation of Fusion Licenses to the Philippine National School of the Blind in Manila

CEO of Pacific Vision International Ltd (PVI), Mr. Barry Burgess visited the Philippine National School in Manila, where he learnt from the Principal and noticed himself that the students didn’t have any technology to help them in their education. Mr. Burgess saw this as a barrier to the school children’s education and decided to do something for the children. He took this matter to VISPERO in USA and was granted 30 Fusion Pro Licenses (both magnification and speech), free of charge, for the school children. Mr. Burgess has also offered support in the installation and training of the software, as required.
Pacific Vision International (PVI) team consisting of CEO, Mr Barry Burgess, PVI Asian representative Cherish Joy Camacho and Pallavi Pachauri (PA to Mr. Burgess) visited the Philippine National School for the Blind, Philippines to donate 30 licenses of ZoomText Fusion Pro software that Mr. Burgess had negotiated with the manufacturer VISPERO. As the school Principal recalled on the day PVI team met her- Mr. Burgess’ words before leaving the Principal’s office were, “let me see what we can do about it, will get back soon”.
The team was welcomed by the school Principal Mrs. Corazon B. Salvador and other teachers who were extremely appreciative to have received the donation for the students from VISPERO. The school staff consider that the latest technology software is going to be a tremendous help to the students who are blind or have low vision, in their studies and they invited us to be present while they excitedly made the announcements to the students.
The PVI team was then given a chance to meet the students in their computer lab, where the students sang lovely songs as a heart-warming welcome to show their appreciation of joy of receiving the fantastic gift; it was a treat for everyone to see such profuse talent in the students. The principal announced the receipt of the licenses and urged the students to maximise the use of the latest technology towards their education. The news of getting the latest technology that will help them learn and give them easier access to information and education, filled the school children with joy. Their enthusiasm and cheerfulness were clearly visible. On this note, Mr. Barry Burgess spoke to the students and encouraged them to never give up and keep following their dreams; and wished them luck.
